2018 was a busy year! My debut novel, The King's Witch, was published in June.  This is the first of a trilogy, the second book of which will be published in 2019. On 1 November my new non-fiction book, Henry VIII and the Men Who Made Him, was launched (both published by Hodder & Stoughton).

I have also filmed a new series of Private Lives for the Yesterday Channel. This will explore six well-known historical personalities and the lives they led away from the public glare. It is due for broadcast in early 2019. https://yesterday.uktv.co.uk I also featured in a new 4-part documentary, Inside the Tower of London, which began on 23 October. You can catch up on it here: http://www.channel5.com/show/inside-the-tower-of-london/

I'm delighted to announce that I have recently been appointed a trustee of The National Archives Foundation. I also curated an on line resource about Elizabeth I for the archives.  Including transcripts and commentary on a collection of original manuscripts, it explores her style of monarchy and considers whether she really was a 'weak and feeble woman'. http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/education/resources/elizabeth-monarchy/
